"Home at Last"

"Home at Last" came out of my hand in late summer/fall (2023). I didn't really know what to paint, I just knew I was going to paint "something"...! So I just started, and when I was almost done I saw what it had become. A ship... so tired, so tired after a long journey, and I realized that I had actually painted myself.

Because I could feel myself like this ship. That I finally felt like I had come home after a long, long journey. A journey with many experiences, but that I was also tired. And I could feel like it was good to finally feel like I was on a trip home to myself.

It wasn't quite ready to put it out then this fall, but now I feel the time has come and that I can say "Finally Home".
